William Hill Scottish Cup First Round Drawn

The draw for the 2018-19 William Hill Scottish Cup First Round took place at Hampden Park yesterday. Host Luke Shanley was joined by Robbie Neilson and Charlie Flynn.

Neilson was a key part of the Heart of Midlothian team who lifted the famous trophy back in season 2005-06. Boxer Flynn is no stranger to knockout competitions and fought his way into the nation’s heart with his triumph in the men’s lightweight division at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

He’s now working his way up the professional ranks alongside his work as a motivational speaker in schools across the country.

Thirty five teams went into the mix and will compete in the 17 ties, with the last remaining ball drawn out affording that team a bye into the Second Round after Selkirk’s withdrawal from the competition. The ties will be played on Saturday, 22nd September.
