Yesterday all eyes were on Glasgow for the draw for the second round of the Scottish Cup. Whitehill gaffer Mikey Lawson initial thoughts where “great, it’s a home draw”. He told the clubs website yesterday, “I also know our players and supporters will think it’s a game we can win.
“The Shire beat Clyde at home on Saturday and although we have a chance of progressing I thought that with my previous club a few years back against our Scottish Cup opponents and failed. If we’re at our very, very best however we have a chance and being at Ferguson Park is brilliant.
“We should get a good wee crowd and a great Scottish Cup atmosphere.”
Edinburgh City drew a home tie against junior heavyweights Auchinleck Talbot whilst Spartans will face East Kilbride.
Threave Rovers will travel to East Fife in what will be one of the toughest games of the season for them.
Stirling University will play Albion Rovers at home.
Queens Park will make the journey to face Gretna and Dalbettie Star will need to wait until after this weeks replay to find out if they will play Linlithgow Rose or Fraserburgh.
All the ties will be played on Saturday 4th October 2014 at 15:00.
