A round up of all the action from yesterdays games.
Gretna 2008 3-1 Gala Fairydean Rovers
A mere five minutes had passed before Iain Anderson rounded John Dodds in the Gala goal to set up Scott Milligan with an easy tap in to open the scoring.
Gala rallied and Ross Aitchison could have levelled the scores but sent the ball inches wide of Graham Wright’s right hand post.
Minutes later Brandon Longcake extended Gretna’s lead, volleying a Conor Graham corner past Dodds.
Just before half time the Gretna pressure paid off when the ball came to Adam Main on the edge of the Gala penalty area and his volley fired past Dodds to make the score 3-0.
Gala refused to lie down however and Dean McColm got one back the visitors when he was left unattended in front of goal.
Spartans 0-3 BSC Glasgow
Ross McKinnon fired a spectacular free kick into the top corner just before the interval to give the visitors the lead at half time.
Within five minutes of the restart Garry Graham managed to prod the ball over the line following a goal mouth scramble.
Spartans had chances but failed to find a breakthrough and in the closing minutes Tony Wallace broke the offside trap to slot the ball into the net.
Elsewhere in the league East Kilbride ran out 4-0 winners away to Threave Rovers. Joao Victoria was up-ended in the box and converted the spot kick.
In the second half goals from Liam Gormley, Bernard Coll and Craig McLeish ensured all three points travelled back to the K Park.
Preston Athletic made the trip to Forthbank to face Stirling University in the Scottish Sun+ League Cup.
After going in at the interval level at two apiece a Jeff Kessie goal in the second half was enough to secure victory for the students.
