Cowdenbeath vs Cumbernauld Colts

The Colts have hit a dip in form – with their 2-1 South Challenge Cup win over Hill of Beath Hawthorn being the only victory of their last four competitive games, including the Scottish Cup exit at the hands of Broomhill.

Only one point separates the two sides – with a game in-hand, Cowdenbeath will be looking at this as a perfect opportunity to leapfrog Gala.

GFR come into this on good form – having won their last three games against Broomhill, Stirling Uni, and Edinburgh Uni, scoring seven goals along the way.

Cowdenbeath vs Tranent

It was Tranent who got the better of the two sides, last season – winning 4-2 at Foresters, followed by a 0-0 draw at Central Park.

Cowdenbeath sit in 8th place with 12 points from seven played – made up of three wins, three draws, and one loss.

Following their 4-2 defeat away to East Kilbride, The Blue Brazil bounced back with a 2-0 win away to Berwick Rangers – and look on course to better last season’s 15th place finish.

Tranent currently sit in 4th place with 16 points from eight games played – made up of five wins, two defeats, and a draw, six points off league leaders, East Kilbride.

The Big T will be hoping to get a third consecutive victory for the first time, this season – following their 2-1 win over Stirling Uni and comprehensive 8-0 victory over Gretna 2008.

Cowdenbeath vs Broomhill

Last season, Broomhill defeated Cowdenbeath 3-0 on both occasions.

Cowdenbeath are one of only three teams not to have tasted defeat, at this point in the season.

The Blue Brazil have picked up six points from the capital, defeating Hearts B 2-1, and Edinburgh University 7-1.

They picked up a further two points – having drawn 2-2 with both Celtic B and Civil Service Strollers.

Since their 2-1 opening day defeat away to East Kilbride, Broomhill have went on an impressive unbeaten streak of five games – three wins and a draw in the league, as well as a 1-0 victory over Neilston in the South Challenge Cup.

Adding to their unbeaten streak, The Broom have the best defence in the league – conceding only the two goals away to East Kilbride, accumulating to five consecutive clean sheets, including the cup.

Cowdenbeath vs Edinburgh University

Cowdenbeath took maximum points off Edinburgh University, last season – scoring eight goals and not conceding in comfortable 3-0 and 5-0 wins.

The Blue Brazil are one of only three teams who have yet to deal with defeat. Having drawn their opening games 2-2 with Celtic B and Civil Service Strollers, they picked up their first three points thanks to a 2-1 away to Hearts B, last weekend.

Cowdenbeath vs Civil Service Strollers

Civil Service Strollers have a 100% record against Cowdenbeath, having won both of last season’s league fixtures 2-1. The Strollers also knocked The Blue Brazil out of the Scottish Cup Second Round in 2021, thanks to a 4-2 win at Central Park.

Cowdenbeath have only played one Lowland League match, having participated in the Viaplay Cup Group Stage.

After just five minutes, The Blue Brazil were up 2-0 against Celtic B. However, the Young Hoops left it late to salvage a point, grabbing their goals on the 87th and 90th minute to see the match end 2-2.

Civil Service Strollers have participated in three competitive matches – seeing them record a win, a loss, and a draw.

The Strollers opening day ended with a 4-3 win over Edinburgh Uni, shortly followed by a midweek 3-2 defeat to Hearts B. Last weekend ended with a 0-0 stalemate against East Stirlingshire.
