The Ferrari Packaging Lowland League welcomed SPFL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster to our general meeting last week.
Neil was also joined by Operations Director Iain Blair as guest speakers at our quarterly meeting with all clubs.
Neil told the meeting that he is “delighted with the pyramid system progress to date” and he welcomed the chance to hear views from our clubs.
Mr Doncaster said “It’s great to get out and have the chance to meet the clubs in the Lowland League.
“Similarly, we’ve ensured the Lowland League are warmly invited to attend the SPFL’s own regular general meetings to further strengthen the links between our respective leagues and member clubs.
“Meetings such as the one Iain Blair and I attended last week are the perfect way for us to hear feedback and answer any questions, all to help us work together for the benefit of Scottish football.
“I am delighted with the pyramid system progress to date, with the success of Edinburgh City’s arrival in the SPFL providing early evidence that the innovative and bold changes made are already working well.”
Clubs then had the chance to ask questions of Mr Doncaster and Mr Blair.
League chairman Andrew Waddell commented on the continuing development of relations between the SPFL and the SLFL including participation in the SPFL cup competitions.
He said “We are grateful to Neil and Iain for coming along to meet with our clubs.
“These meetings give our member clubs the chance to ask questions and hear answers directly from Neil and Iain.
“The discussions were very positive and we look forward to welcoming Neil and Iain back to future meetings.”
