Civil Service Strollers vs Caledonian Braves

Civil Service Strollers have won the last two of their three previous meetings with Caledonian Braves – winning 2-0 last season, and 1-0 earlier this season. Braves won the other 22/23 meeting 3-1.

Civil Service Strollers currently sit in 8th place with 26 points from their 17 games played – made up of eight wins, two draws, and seven defeats.

Having won three consecutive games, Strollers come into this having lost 3-0 to Hearts B. The game was abandoned when coach, Michael Pentland needed medical attention. Everyone at the Lowland League wishes Michael a speedy recovery.

Braves come into this confident after a 3-1 win over Broomhill at Alliance Park.

East Stirlingshire vs Albion Rovers

Both clubs have a long history of meeting each other in the SPFL, but, Albion Rovers would come out on top of their first Lowland League fixture, defeating East Stirlingshire 3-1.

East Stirlingshire currently sit in 16th place with 13 points from their 18 games played – made up of three wins, four draws, and 11 defeats.

The Shire come into this with five consecutive defeats in Lowland League duty, and will be hoping for a positive result.

Albion Rovers currently sit in 13th place with 20 points from their 14 games played – made up of five wins, five draws, and four defeats.

Rovers come into this having managed to salvage a point against Edinburgh University. Uni looked certain to win it with a last-minute penalty putting them ahead. But, Rovers got a late penalty of their own, making it 2-2.

Gala Fairydean Rovers vs Linlithgow Rose

Linlithgow Rose were the victors in their meeting with Gala Fairydean Rovers earlier this season, winning with a convincing 5-0 scoreline.

Gala Fairydean Rovers currently sit in 12th place with 21 points from their 18 games played – made up of six wins, three draws, and nine defeats.

GFR are without a win in their five previous Lowland League matches – including last weekends 4-2 defeat to East Kilbride, a match GFR were leading 2-0.

Linlithgow Rose currently sit in 7th place with 26 points from their 16 games played – made up of seven wins, five draws, and four defeats.

The Rosey Posey will be looking to maintain the level of performance that saw them defeat Gretna 2008 5-0, last weekend.

Gretna 2008 vs Bo’ness United

Bo’ness United are undefeated against Gretna 2008, winning all five of their meetings – including their 2-0 victory earlier in the season.

Gretna 2008 currently sit second-bottom with six points from their 18 games played – made up of two wins, and 16 defeats.

The Anvils come into this with back-to-back Lowland League defeats, losing 3-1 and 5-0 away to both University of Stirling and Linlithgow Rose.

Bo’ness United currently sit in 5th place with 31 points from their 17 games played – made up of 10 wins, one draw, and six defeats.

The B.U’s come into this off the back of a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Tranent.

Tranent vs University of Stirling

Tranent have won two of their three meetings with University of Stirling, with their 2-1 victories sit either side of Stirling Uni’s 5-2 win.

Tranent currently sit in 4th place with 33 points from their 15 games played – made up of 10 wins, three draws, and two defeats.

The Big T come into this undefeated in their previous nine Lowland League matches, including their recent 2-0 win away to Bo’ness United.

University of Stirling currently sit in 6th place with 27 points from their 17 games played – made up of eight wins, three draws, and six defeats.

Uni come into this with three consecutive wins in the Lowland League behind them – 3-1 v Gretna 2008, 4-0 v Broomhill, and 1-0 v East Stirlingshire.

Cowdenbeath vs Heart of Midlothian B

Cowdenbeath are undefeated on three occasions they have met with Hearts B – drawing 1-1 and winning 3-1 last season, as well as being one of two teams to beat the Wee Jambos, this season, winning 2-1.

Cowdenbeath currently sit in 14th place with 20 points from their 17 games played – made up of four wins, eight draws, and five defeats.

The Blue Brazil come into this having drawn 3-3 with Celtic B at Central Park, last weekend.

Hearts B currently sit in 2nd place with 39 points from their 19 games played – made up of 11 wins, six draws, and two defeats.

Whilst last weekend’s Edinburgh Derby with Civil Service Strollers was abandoned on the 78th minute due to a medical emergency, the Wee Jambos had earned the three points with their 3-0 result standing.

Bo’ness United vs Tranent

Having played each other on three occasions in the Lowland League, both sides have managed a victory over each other, with the other result ending in a draw. Last season saw Tranent win 2-0 and the 1-1 draw. Whilst Bo’ness United won 2-1 earlier this season.

Bo’ness United currently sit in 4th place with 31 points from their 16 games played – made up of 10 wins, one draw, and five defeats.

The B.U’s bring goals to their games. Six of their last seven matches have seen a minimum of four goals scored – drawing 3-3 with Hearts B, winning 4-2, 4-3, and 1-0 v Cowdenbeath, East Stirlingshire, and Celtic B, and losing 3-1 and 4-3 to Stirling Uni and East Kilbride.

They come into this off the back of a 4-0 defeat away to Greenock Morton in the Scottish Cup.

Tranent currently sit in 5th place with 30 points from their 14 games played – made up of nine wins, three draws, and two defeats.

The Big T will feel hard done by whilst being handed their first defeat in 15 games, losing 1-0 to League Two side, Forfar Athletic in the Scottish Cup. The other results have seen 12 victories and two draws across all competitions.

Caledonian Braves vs Broomhill

We need to go back to New Years Day 2022 to see the last time Caledonian Braves defeated Broomhill, winning 3-0 that day. Since then, Broomhill have won on each of the three occasions, winning 3-1, 3-2, and 2-0.

Caledonian Braves currently sit in 16th place with 19 points from their 18 games played – made up of five wins, four draws, and nine defeats.

The Braves come into this without a win in their last five outings – drawing 2-2 with Cowdenbeath and Tranent, 2-1 losses to East Kilbride and Albion Rovers, and their recent 2-0 defeat to Cumbernauld Colts.

Broomhill currently sit in 9th place with 23 points from their 17 games played – made up of seven wins, two draws, and eight defeats.

The Broom come into this being the only Lowland League team to progress to the Fourth Round of the Scottish Cup, thanks to a 3-0 win away to Cumnock Juniors – setting up an away day to face Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
