The Scottish Lowland Football League can confirm that a daily testing regime will be introduced for playing staff, team staff and club board members.
The decision was made following discussions with the Scottish Football Association earlier today and will come into effect from Monday.
As announced by the Scottish Government yesterday, from Boxing Day and for three weeks thereafter, football attendances will be capped at 500 people in line with all outdoor events.
One metre physical distancing will also be required within a stadium during that time.
League Chairperson, Thomas Brown, said: “Today’s decision will ensure that we can continue to play games in as safe as an environment as possible.
“We are aware that some clubs will now have to implement a process for allocating tickets to ensure that they comply with the maximum attendance at games and we thank them for doing so.
“Since the start of the pandemic Lowland League clubs have adapted quickly and effectively to all the restrictions and we will continue to do so.”
A decision about testing requirements for the Development League will be made in due course.
